Flexible working arrangements allow staff members and the University to vary hours and patterns of work, to meet the priorities of the University and the staff member's personal commitments.
Please refer to Flexible Work Provisions for more information about how flexibility is provided for in the ANU Enterprise Agreement 2013-2016.
F&S HR is available to provide assistance to staff and supervisors with facilitating flexible arrangements for staff within the Division.
Flexitime is an arrangement where a staff member may, with appropriate approval, start and/or finish work at flexible times, but within the relevant core work hours. Flexitime is not an entitlement of employment and is subject to the operational requirements of the work area.
Flexitime arrangements will only be available to staff at or below the ANUO7 level, who do not have access to a rostered day off arrangement, work under a recognised shift or roster arrangement or have access to a flexible working arrangement.
All applications by staff for Flexitime are subject to the approval of the Manager of the functional area, and must be undertaken accordance with the University's Flexitime Guideline.
Agreement must be documented and records kept of start and finish times, which should be maintained on a Flex Sheet (xls 126KB).
